At the Rapid Prototyping Centre we can make real world parts out of almost any 3D computer aided design (CAD) drawing. In house we have three fused deposition modeling (FDM) machines that can print strong, durable and accurate parts for form-fit-function prototyping, visual demonstration or functional end-use.

FDM Technology: Fortus 360mc |
The Fortus 360mc produces accurate, durable, repeatable parts in familiar production-grade thermoplastics. Driven by FDM Technology and powerful Insight software, they let you strike your desired balance between FDM’s finest feature detail and the quickest build. You can adjust material density, and choose from two different layer resolutions. |
FDM Technology: Dimension 1200es |
The Dimension 1200es uses ABS thermoplastic to build models. Model and soluble support materials come in convenient enclosed cartridges that are a snap to load. Inside the 3D printer, plastic filament travels through a tube to the print head, where it’s heated to a semi-liquid state and extruded in thin, accurate layers. Powered by FDM Technology, it prints in nine colors of real ABSplus thermoplastic. This 3D printer lets you choose fine resolution or faster printing, with layer thicknesses of 0.254 mm (0.010 in.) or 0.33 mm (0.013 in.). |
CleanStation DT3 : Soluble Support Removal |
The CleanStation DT3 removed soluble support from 3D printed parts. It utilizes US patented "Heat, Agitation, and Flow" technology to rapidly dissolve soluble support material from FDM parts and models. |
