The Third Annual Waterloo West Neighbourhood Fest is a free, drop-in event organized and delivered by Recreation and Leisure Studies students in partnership with the Stork Family YMCA and Harper Library.
The play raises questions about the predominant discourse of loss that defines current conceptions of dementia, and the dehumanizing care practices that still prevail in institutional care settings.
Hosted by the Graduate Association of Recreation and Leisure Studies, the Graduate Leisure Research Symposium offers the opportunity for graduate students in the wide-ranging fields of recreation, leisure, tourism studies, and therapeutic recreation to come together and share research and ideas.
Join us for the 2014 Applied Health Sciences Grad Formal. Students, faculty, and staff are all invited to join in for an evening of dinner, dancing, and laughs. Tickets will go on sale in the foyer and will be announced closer to the sale date. The event will take place at the KW Hotel and Conference Centre in downtown Kitchener.
Applied Health Sciences graduating students are invited to join special alumni guests - including Bob Hunter (BSc '76, Kinesiology), Charlie Johnstone (BA ’90, Recreation & Business) and Janette Smith (BSc '87, Health), their favourite AHS professors, and Dean Susan Elliott, as they offer congratulations and inspiring words of advice.
