Professor Rasul Mowatt will receive the Shaw-Mannell Leisure Research Award recognizing his international contributions to the study of leisure and influence on leisure scholarship in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies. His current leadership in organizing anti-racism actions together with eight worldwide leisure associations demonstrates his interests centred on critiquing society for issues that are most prevalent in impacting quality of life.
