Doctoral studies at the University of Waterloo investigating workplace health 

Every 15 seconds, a worker dies from a work-related accident or disease (International Labour Organization). The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences offers the first interdisciplinary PhD program in Canada with a focus on Work and Health.

Concerns about workplace health are occurring in the context of rapid change in both the composition of the workforce and the nature of work. All of these developments point toward the need for academics and professionals who are better equipped to face the challenges of work related health in the 21st Century.

Collaborative PhD 

This doctoral program is an interdisciplinary platform to develop a broad understanding of the issues related to the health and well-being of our aging population.

Students can register in any department/school in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, utilizing an interdisciplinary platform upon which to develop a broad understanding of issues related to the health and well-being of our aging population.
