Curriculum and research themes
Recognizing the interdisciplinary nature of the field, graduate students are encouraged to focus their studies on the interrelationship between recreation/leisure and one or more of the following theme areas:
- Health and Well-being
- Social Justice
- Space and Place
- Organizations, Services and Policy
Renowned for innovative methodological approaches, these research-intensive programs feature core courses in Foundations for Quantitative/Qualitative Inquiry, Quantitative Research Data Analysis and Interpretation, and Designing Advanced Qualitative Inquiry, in addition to electives based on the research themes above.
