New Ontario index puts wellbeing at the forefront

With its first Ontario-focused study released today, the Canadian Index of Wellbeing (CIW) at the University of Waterloo analyzes how well people in the province are really doing in the areas of their lives that matter the most.

Researcher receives provincial award for work on diverse families and retirement planning

Vonk and Valtchanov win Applied Health Sciences 3MT heat

Kinesiology student Matt Vonk and Bronwen Valtchanov of Recreation and Leisure Studies were selected as this year's winners in the 2014 Applied Health Sciences (AHS) 3MT competition. 

During the unique competition for research-based masters thesis and doctoral students, competitors have 1 static slide and 3 minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research to a non-specialist audience.
