Centre for Dialogue and Spirituality in the World Religions

The Centre for Dialogue and Spirituality in the World Religions (CDS-WR) is designed as a research centre that will

  • initiate and engage in on-going research projects
  • provide a forum for dialogue among men and women of the world religions
  • publish on-going research and educational materials in textual & video formats
  • provide public education in the area of dialogue and spirituality.

The Centre will also offer lectures, workshops & seminars in the dialogue and spirituality of the world’s religions. It will provide a forum to bring together people from Buddhist, Confucian, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Shinto, Taoist, Native and other world faiths. It is currently working on educational DVDs on “Ritual & Music in India: The Hindu Festival of Holi & Sufi Music (Qawaali) at Nizamuddin,” “Glimpses of Japanese Spirituality,” “The Kumbha Mela,” and “Machu Pichu.”

Founded by Dr. M. Darrol Bryant, long-time Professor of Religion and Culture at Renison College, University of Waterloo, the Centre will be housed at Renison College and it will have a virtual home on the web.
