Renison gets a visit from its newest Visitor

Greg Jenkins (c)On Wednesday, June 22, 2016, Renison University College (Renison) was honoured to receive a visit from the Rt. Rev. Linda Nicholls, coadjutor bishop of the Diocese of Huron. This was Bishop Nicholls' first visit to Renison as the new Visitor.
The visit was part of an event hosted by the Deanery of Waterloo in which clergy and lay people from the deanery were able to break bread and have a question and answer session with the new bishop. As the Anglican college for the Deanery of Waterloo, Renison was glad to be able to host the event in the Atrium of its newest building.
Bishop Nicholls fields questions at Waterloo Deanery event at RenisonThe Visitor to the College is the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Huron, of which Bishop Nicholls is the 7th Visitor. The Visitor is a member of the corporation of Renison University College and maintains the right to inspect the state of the college while also being able to make comment on the state of the College to the Board of Governors and/or the Principal.

Renison University College was founded in the Anglican tradition by members of the local Anglican community and continues to have a strong affiliation with the Anglican Church of Canada.
