Renison University College (Renison) Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) students joined in a year ending celebration on Thursday, June 23, 2016. While the official convocation day for the BSW class takes place in the fall, the School of Social Work has made a tradition of celebrating the accomplishments of its graduands with an informal year-end barbeque style event.
This event gave students a chance to mingle with professors, administrators, community partners and donors who have contributed to scholarships that provide assistance to BSW students. It also gave students to opportunity to get together with their classmates and enjoy some laughs before they leave for the summer and/or their new careers.
This event also marked the first celebration as the Interim Director of the School of Social Work for Professor Colleen McMillan.
