A conversation about physician assisted dying with Reverend Canon Douglas GraydonExport this event to calendar

Saturday, September 24, 2016 — 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EDT

You are invited to join in a conversation:

  • with The Rev'd Douglas Graydon, Coordinator of Chaplaincy Services with the Diocese of Toronto with 20+ years of end-of life care experience.

Why?

  • to help clarify your values, thoughts, and feelings about physician assisted dying.
  • to consider how to have these conversations within your family, congregation, and community.
  • to support congregational pastoral visitors, professional lay people (e.g., physicians, nurses, social workers, etc.), and clergy.

Explore:

  • our changed and changing Canadian landscape with regard to legislation and palliative care
  • ethical, theological, and pastoral implications and moral challenges of these changes
  • the role of the congregation in death and dying
