This information session will help you envision yourself in a global setting, whether through one of East Asian Studies' exchange programs or when you finish school and start your career. There will be short talks on:
 
  • how YOU can study abroad, with guest speaker Ron Champion
  • what the EAS minor is all about, and what kind of classes you will take
  • an intro from the Director of the East Asian Studies department, Kimie Hara
When the info session is complete, make sure you head down to our Great Hall Cafeteria to sample Asian food at the EAS Food Fair, taking place from 1:30 - 3:00!
 
And get a taste of Korean culture by joining the Korean Consul General Kan Jeong-sik from 2:30-3:50 in room 2106 as he presents his lecture, "The Korean Peninsula and Korea's Relations with its Neighbours."
 

The EAS Itinerary for Wednesday, February 11

  • EAS Info Session, 1:00-1:30, REN 0203: an information session for interested students that talks about EAS classes, the EAS minor, and how it can advance your career. 
  • EAS Food Fair, 1:30-3:00, Great Hall Extension: come and sample specialties from China, Japan, and Korea, and learn more about the EAS programs at Renison.
  • Korean Consul General Kan Jeong-sik delivers a lecture on "The Korean Peninsula and Korea's Relations with its Neighbors," 2:30-3:50 pm, REN 2106: come and join us for this free lecture from the distinguished Korean Consul General.
