A representative from the Community Outreach and Rapid Response Employee at the Ontario Addiction Treatment Centre (OATC) for the South West Region will be presenting a talk on opiod addiction, methadone, and how opioid agonist treatment programs work. 

OATC runs an opioid agonist treatment program which is based on an outpatient harm reduction model. The treatment program consists of; an initial intake interview, treatment plan/contract, medical examination and laboratory tests, regular supervised urine testing, daily methadone/suboxone dose and regular medical follow up appointments.
