As Renison University College's programs, faculty and student body have grown, the College has been growing physically as well.
Therefore, we are excited that His Honour, the Hon. David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will open our newest building at the College and be present with the Renison community to celebrate our growth. His participation in this event continues the involvement of Ontario's Vice-regal Office in Renison's development.
When Renison College, as it was then known, outgrew its original building at Albert St. and University Ave. in Waterloo, a new building was constructed to house the College. In 1962, the Hon. J. Keiller MacKay (Lieutenant Governor of Ontario 1957-1963), laid the corner stone of Renison's "Founders' Building" during a ceremony at the College's new location.
Just over 50 years later, we welcome His Honour and the invitees to participate in this momentous occasion with an opening ceremony and reception for the newest addition to Renison University College.
Guests are asked to arrive for 4:30 p.m.
A cocktail reception will follow the program.
By invitation only.
