Presentation 1

Title: Female leadership in Islam: A survey of Muslim Canadian youth

Student: Julia Moynie

This ethnographic study examines the perspectives of Canadian Muslim youth regarding historical and current roles of female leadership in Islam.

Presentation 2                

Title: Perceptions of Muslims and Islam among non-Muslim University Students

Student: Michelle Lynn Boulanger

This survey based study explores perceptions of Islam and Muslims among non-Muslim university students and how varied sources of information influence student perception.

Presentation 3

Title: Muslim youth in Canada: Impact of Implicit Negative biases of Islam on identity and social presence.

Student: Rachel Montanaro-Yavnai

This survey and interview based study explores how Muslim youth in Canada self-identify, how they navigate social situations, regulate their behaviour and  social presence, while still retaining their religious identity.
