SDS professor delves into diabetes care, self-esteem, and furry fandom

Dr. Sharon Roberts, Assistant Professor in Social Development Studies, has had four papers published in the past two months. The papers reflect her diverse areas of research, from improving diabetes care to examining self-esteem to engaging with the subculture of furry fandom.

Professor Roberts currently has a research grant to delve deeper into the world of "furries" and plans to release videos to her Facebook page soon.

uWaterloo Learning Innovation and Teaching Enhancement (LITE) Grant awarded to Renison faculty

A Waterloo Learning Innovation and Teaching Enhancement (LITE) grant has been approved for Renison's Alice Schmidt Hanbidge (Assistant Professor, School of Social Work) and Waterloo's Judi Jewinski (Special Advisor to the Vice-President). The grant is valued at $15,924 over the next two years.
