Renison professor publishes book on under-studied Iraqi theatre

Professor Amir Al-Azraki is an instructor in the Studies in Islam program at Renison. Many recognize him from the Arabic language courses he teaches. What they may not know about Professor Al-Azraki is that he is also a playwright and author.

On Sunday, January 22, many people attended the Central Ontario Chinese Cultural Centre's (COCCC) annual Chinese Lunar New Year festival, which Renison sponsored. Attendees were treated to food, activities, and performances while they learned more about Chinese culture.

For many years Renison has been teaching Korean language courses to University of Waterloo students as part of its East Asian Studies program. This program has been so successful that it is now the largest of its kind in Canada even while it maintains the small class sizes that Renison is known for.

CI Director at Waterloo has eventful December 2016

November and December 2016 have been busy months for Yan Li, Director, Confucius Institute Waterloo.

Professor Li was an honoured overseas guest at the 9th Convention of China Writers Association in Beijing, China from November 29 to December 4.
