Renison joins with a nation in grief

It is with heavy hearts that Renison once again lowers its flags to recognize and honour the people, including hundreds of children who lie in unmarked graves on the site of the former Marievel Residential School, located in Saskatchewan. As many as 751 unmarked graves have been located.

Renison’s Institute of Ministry and Huron’s Faculty of Theology Formalize Reciprocal Agreement

For almost ten years now, continuing education theology students at Huron University College have been able to earn credit for courses taken at Renison University College’s Institute of Ministry (RIM), and vice versa. “This relationship has been working very well for a very long time now,” said Dr. Daniel Smith, Dean of Theology and Clark and Mary Wright Professor of New Testament Theology at Huron University College, “but we decided it was in the best interest of both organizations to formalize the agreement in a Memorandum of Understanding.

Dr. Kristina Llewellyn Promoted to Full Professor

At the May 26 Board of Governor’s meeting, Renison’s Board unanimously passed the Motion to promote Social Development Studies (SDS) Associate Professor Kristina Llewellyn to the rank of Full Professor. Dr. Llewellyn’s cutting-edge, original scholarship has distinguished her among her peers, and she contributes significantly to the life of Renison, both as an innovative and highly regarded teacher and through service, both to the College and the Academy.
