A note from Principal Wendy Fletcher: I am pleased to share news regarding additions and changes within our Renison community. Effective August 1st, two lecturers will be joining the Renison team.
Christina Parker will join the SDS department as a Lecturer for a period of 13 months. She brings many years of undergraduate teaching in the field of social work, education, and peace and conflict studies. Christina has worked most recently at Victoria College, University of Toronto as well as serving in roles of Instructor at the University of Calgary, Ryerson University and John Hopkins University.
Amir Al-Azraki will rejoin the Studies in Islam department as a Lecturer also for a period of 13 months. Amir has extensive experience teaching Arabic and English language and literature. He has taught at York University, the University of Toronto as well as serving as a Sessional Lecturer here at Renison.
On August 15th, Winona Phachanla will begin in the new role of Administrative and Marketing Assistant in the English Language Studies department. Winona brings her experience from her work in the English Language Centre as well as administrative experience with Wilfrid Laurier University.
Each of these individuals brings a rich array of gifts to our community. We are grateful that they have chosen to partner with us in our work at Renison. Please join me in welcoming them to our community and supporting them in their new roles.
