Teaching areas:

Canadian Social Policy, Community Organization, Introduction to Social Work, Integrative Practice: Aboriginal Perspectives and Social Work, Advanced Macro Practice.

Research areas:

Historical comparative study of social policy and social work education; Canadian and Australian comparison of senior citizens and how they adapt to technology.

Tom Brenner received his MSW (1982) and PhD (2004) from Wilfrid Laurier University. Dr. Brenner specializes in social policy, social planning, program evaluation, and community development. He has contributed articles to the Encyclopaedia of Canadian Social Work on the Canada Health and Social Transfer as well as the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation.
