Renison University College offers two post-graduate programs for students looking to add professional accreditation to their resume and enhance the career options available to them.
For those looking to enter into the field of social work Renison has its Bachelor of Social Work program. For those looking to teach English to non-native speakers Renison offers TESOL certification programs.
The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a professional program that prepares students for a generalist social work practice in a learning environment that is inclusive and engaging. Consistent with the Canadian Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics, the BSW program is informed by values of social justice, respect for the dignity and worth of all individuals, integrity, confidentiality, and competence in professional practice. The BSW program is accredited by the Canadian Association of Social Work Education. The program, which can be completed full-time (10-months) or part-time (within three years), includes a field practicum and is only available for those who have already earned a Bachelor degree.
Thinking about teaching English to speakers of other languages? Set yourself apart with Renison’s ACE-TESOL programs. We offer two programs, the ACE-TESOL Certificate and the ACE-TESOL Diploma. Both programs provide a theoretical and practical approach to linguistics and second language acquisition to help prepare candidates to teach English as a Second Language (ESL). Our intensive programs allow candidates to become certified over the summer with your goal in mind.
