Renison prof returns from delivering invited lecture in India

University of Kashmir convocation complexProfessor Idrisa Pandit, Renison University College (Renison) has returned from the Shah-i-Hamdan Institute at the University of Kashmir, where she delivered an invited extension lecture for the Department of Islamic Studies. The topic of the lecture was Studies in Islam: A multidisciplinary approach to the study of Islam and Muslims.
 
The Shah-i-Hamdan Institute seeks "to impart to the students and research scholars the knowledge based on  considerate enquiry in order to develop their capacity for independent and critical thinking and to acquaint them with the methodology of experimental and investigative academic research." Studies in Islam uses an interdisciplinary approach to understanding Islam and Muslims through research and the application of knowledge.
