Are you interested in taking steps to change the things that are wrong in our society and introducing new ideas and processes for doing things better in the future? Are you passionate about people and looking for a way to help those less fortunate than you?
There are a number of issues in our society that simply aren't fair and need creative solutions. Ultimately, if you are a student that loves to help people - volunteering for causes you're passionate about, getting involved in clubs at school, or even being a shoulder to lean on, you're creating social change when you do these things, making the world a better place. We want to celebrate this and help you continue pursuing your social change goals, which is why you've been nominated to join us for the 2019 Youth Social Action Retreat!
We are so excited to welcome you to the 2019 Youth Social Action Retreat at Renison University College! On May 11th and 12th, you will interact with other high school students, students from the University of Waterloo, and others who are passionate about making the world a better place. This gives you the chance to learn and develop real, usable skills to make an impact in your community.
The Youth Social Action Retreat is free for students to attend. We ask that students provide their own method of transportation to and from the event.
