CANCELLED: YOUTH SOCIAL ACTION RETREAT 2020
In light of the current COVID-19 outbreak, Renison University College has decided to cancel the Youth Social Action Retreat (YSAR) on May 9-10, 2020. This decision was made in consultation with university leadership and public health officials in order to best protect our retreat participants and the many staff and volunteers who support this event.
We are excited to meet you at our 2021 Youth Social Action Retreat and give you the tools and resources to continue making social change in your community.
If you have any questions you can email Lauren Zalewski, our Marketing, Recruitment, and Outreach Officer at email@example.com.
Are you interested in taking steps to change the things that are wrong in our society and introducing new ideas and processes for doing things better in the future? Are you passionate about people and looking for a way to help those less fortunate than you?
There are a number of issues in our society that simply aren't fair and need creative solutions. Ultimately, if you are a student that loves to help people - volunteering for causes you're passionate about, getting involved in clubs at school, or even being a shoulder to lean on, you're creating social change when you do these things, making the world a better place. We want to celebrate this and help you continue pursuing your social change goals, which is why you've been nominated to join us for the 2020 Youth Social Action Retreat!
We are so excited to welcome you to the 2020 Youth Social Action Retreat at Renison University College! On May 9th and 10th, you will interact with other high school students, students from the University of Waterloo, and others who are passionate about making the world a better place. This gives you the chance to learn and develop real, usable skills to make an impact in your community.
The Youth Social Action Retreat is free for students to attend. We ask that students provide their own method of transportation to and from the event.
