Join us for a screening of "Wadjda," the internationally acclaimed story of a young Saudi girl who enters her school's Koran recitation competition as a way to raise money she needs to buy green bicycle that has captured her heart. Watch the trailer

This is the first feature length film shot entirely in Saudi Arabia, and the first with a female director. It was nominated for 23 awards internationally and took home 21/23. 

This event is in collaboration with International Education Week at the University of Waterloo. Cost is $2 for students (with valid ID) and $5 for non-students, plus a non-perishable food donation. All food and cash proceeds will go to The FoodBank of Waterloo Region.
