For the second year running, the Research and Technology Park Activities Committee has recognized the importance of the KidSport KW program in our community and we couldn’t be more thrilled with this support!
Contributing proceeds from various fundraising efforts within the KW Community Foundation, the R&T Park committee has made a conscious effort to give to programs like KidSport KW on a consistent basis to effect greater impact on the families in our region.
So it was with many thanks that at the 9th Annual Research and Technology Park Charity Golf Tournament held on July 9th, KidSport KW was presented with cheque for $6500 from Greg Hanmer of Hanmer Law - and co-chair of the Park’s charity golf committee.
After the gracious cheque presentation from Greg, Martin Van Nierop – our KidSport KW volunteer who also happened to play in the tourney that day - had the opportunity to address the 200+ crowd of golfers and guests. By sharing what our charity has accomplished to date and how the generous proceeds from the R&T Park fund will continue to help our community’s underprivileged children play the sport of their dreams, it was our opportunity to thank these fantastic KidSport KW supporters from the bottom of our hearts.
