Consulting services: the provision of expertise or strategic advice that is presented for consideration and decision-making on an as needed basis which are not subject to an employment contract. This may be a payment to a University of Waterloo employee or to a third party.
Contracting services or Fee for Service or Sub-Contract: the performance of specific tasks under a client’s direction for a specific length of time which are not subject to an employment contract. This may be a payment to a Waterloo employee or to a third party.
