Collaboration produces Indigenous Research Guide

The Library recently launched its first ever Indigenous Research Guide. A collaborative partnership between the Library, Graduate Student Association (GSA) and the Office of Research, this guide will help Indigenous students and those interested in Indigenous studies and research methodologies discover available resources in the Library’s collection and how to approach such research.

Waterloo and Bordeaux celebrate 10 years of partnership

2021 marks a decade of scientific collaboration between University of Waterloo and University of Bordeaux.

What started as a modest collaboration between chemists from both sides of the Atlantic, is now a rich and diverse partnership, where international researchers from diverse communities come together to solve problems in unique ways.

Waterloo professor recipient of E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellowship

Dr. Alfred Yu is guiding the direction of next-generation innovations in ultrasound technology. Yu’s team at the University of Waterloo has developed and commercialized high-frame-rate ultrasound techniques that are now incorporated into the community screening program by physicians at the largest retirement living network in Ontario, to help care workers assess the cardiovascular health of elderly subjects.

University of Waterloo postdoc and entrepreneur wins 2021 Mitacs Global Impact Entrepreneur Award

University of Waterloo postdoctoral fellow and small business entrepreneur, Jason Deglint, was recently recognized with the 2021 Mitacs Global Impact Entrepreneur Award for his work tackling damages and losses in the aquaculture industry, estimated to cost $2 billion.
