CIHR awards $3 million to Waterloo researchers

Three University of Waterloo researchers have received spring 2019 project competition grants from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR) worth $3 million. They are:

Lora

Lora Giangregorio (Kinesiology): Finding the optimal resistance training intensity for your bones: A randomized controlled trial (FORTIFY Bones) ($1,258,426)

 

Emmanuel Ho

Emmanuel Ho (School of Pharmacy): 3D printed scaffolds for the prevention of HIV ($918,000)

 

Qing-Bin Lu

Qing-Bin Lu (Physics and Astronomy): Development of novel non-platinum-based antitumor agents for natural targeted chemotherapy and radiotherapy of cervical, lung, and ovarian cancers ($910,350)
