Pure

Pure is a web-based, comprehensive research management, networking, and expertise discovery system.

The system will:

  • save time and increase data accuracy through validated publication imports from many online sources
  • showcase researcher accomplishments and encourage collaboration by promoting research activities and expertise
  • compile a complete view of research outputs from a variety of external sources
  • integrate with both internal and external systems, such as OFIS, UW Scholar, and a variety of publication sources

Modules that can be expected for the launch of phase one include:

  • Portal module – creates rich researcher profiles easily, with minimal researcher involvement, that are discoverable online, enabling researchers to be discovered by, and find, potential collaborators
  • Funding discoveries module – improves process to find and apply to funding opportunities, with the added benefit of being sent notifications for deadlines, opportunities and more
  • Reporting module – enables in-depth reporting and analytics of publications, research outputs and citation data, publicizing researcher expertise and increasing visibility across the research community

With the launch of phase two, researchers can expect even more functionality. Modules to be introduced include:

  • CV module – allows electronic integration to the Canadian Common CV website
  • Awards management module – streamlines the current Office of Research cover sheet with an electronic version for more convenient and faster signature approvals

Phase one coming September 27, 2017
