2. Welcome, May to our group! May Farhad is a 2A mechanical engineering student. She will be looking at the stability and interactions of MOFs in a solar-water generator, which can help achieve sustainablity in the developing and recovering communities.

3. Welcome, Faris and Yewon! Faris is a student in the Master of Science program, joining our group to write his master thesis on membrane reactor and its application in H2 and ethylene production. And Yewon is a 2A Biomedical Engineering student. She is doing her URA in the group on analyzing the sustainability of ethylene production using renewable energy.

4. Congratulations to our group for winning a SDSN Canada seed fund! We will collaborate with Dr. Sami Khan in Simon Fraser University to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on water, food and energy security in Indigenous communities, and rapidly deploying renewables technologies in response.

5. Our group will host two undergrad projects sponsored by @MitacsCanada Globalink Research Internship in summer 2021. One is on sustainable ethylene production (#23936), the other on clean water production (#23926). We strongly encourage underrepresented candidates to apply!

6. Welcome, Lucas! Lucas Wen is a 4A student in MME with AI option. He will be working on modeling hybrid energy storage system in the group.

7. XiaoYu and his coauthors' paper has been accepted for publication in Journal of Advanced Manufacturing and Processing. They reported a novel technology - using oxygen transport membrane in integrated gasification combined cycle to reduce CO2 capture energy penalty. Congratulations! Read it here.

8. Welcome, Mike! Michael Giovanniello graduated from William & Mary with a double major in Chinese and Mathematics. He will be working on modeling the hybrid energy storage system in the group.
