Student Engagement

My name is Simran, and I’m a first-year student at the University of Waterloo studying Accounting and Financial Management (AFM). As a high school student, I wish I had a more in-depth idea of what to expect transitioning from high school to university, especially considering the pandemic that took over a big portion of my high school experience.

When I was in high school, I did a lot of research on university life and I thought I pretty much knew what was going to happen. But the reality on my first day of school was a lot different.
