SAF Alumni Named to Ontario Honour Roll for CPA Common Final Exam

Wednesday, January 31, 2018

Twelve graduates from the University of Waterloo’s School of Accounting and Finance are listed on the Ontario Honour Roll for the CPA Common Final Examination, a three-day exam required to become CPA designated.

Written in September, the national exam took place over three days. Candidates were assessed on competencies including technical knowledge, professional judgement and the ability to communicate.

The SAF undergraduate programs in combination with MAcc provide outstanding preparation for writing the CFE, with respect to the technical knowledge needed as well as the intangibles that helped me be successful on the exam.

In total, 5,581 candidates passed the September 2017 CFE. Of these, 69 candidates are listed on the National Honour Roll and of these, 32 candidates are in Ontario.

The SAF is very proud of our graduates, and will be congratulating their success at a special reception on February 1st.
