SAF Grad Named Ontario Gold Medalist for Fall 2016 Common Final Exam

Friday, December 16, 2016

The SAF is excited to congratulate Sanly Li on being the top CFE writer in the province this fall! She joins Matthew Roman, another SAF grad who won the same award earlier this year.

A recent grad of the Master’s of Accounting program, Sanly is currently working at KPMG LLP in Toronto. When asked why she chose a career in accounting, she responded: “I went into business and accounting aiming to be a CPA because the designation opens the gateway to many opportunities and enhances my future prospects".

Written in September, the national exam took place over 3 days and witnessed over 3500 writers. Candidates were assessed on competencies including essential knowledge, professional judgement and the ability to communicate.

In addition to Sanly capturing the Ontario Gold Medal, the SAF is also proud to report that five MAcc alumni were named in the CPA Honour Roll for the Fall 2016 writing. We are very proud of our graduates, and invite you to join us in congratulating them on their successes!
