A BACHELOR OF SOCIAL WORK (BSW) DEGREE, FROM AN ACCREDITED SOCIAL WORK PROGRAM, IS A MANDATORY ENTRANCE REQUIREMENT FOR OUR MSW. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
ALL ACADEMIC ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS (BSW DEGREE AND STATISTICS/RESEARCH METHODS COURSE/S) MUST BE COMPLETED AND RESULTS KNOWN BY JULY 1 OF YEAR OF ENTRY. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
The application process, for entry into the program in Fall 2021, opened on September 1, 2020.
For those who applied to OUAC by the deadline of November 15, you have until December 1 to upload ALL supporting documentation into QUEST.
Please note: During the admission process applicants may, or may not, be called for an interview.
Applicants to our MSW program will be notified in March as to whether or not they have been offered admission. This information will be posted to your QUEST account. The three categories are – offer of admission; waitlist; deny.
Thank you for your interest in our Master of Social Work (MSW) program offered through the School of Social Work at Renison University College, in collaboration with the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo.
We welcome applications from Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents and international students with valid International Student Visas. All applicants must live in Canada for the duration of the program, since Field Education placements must be completed in Canada.

International Applicants are required to provide proof that their international BSW qualification is equivalent to a Canadian BSW. This equivalency can be obtained from the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW).
