- 0.5 unit must be at the 400-level

- HRM 200 and MSCI 311 are recommended program electives.
- EARTH electives can include EARTH 436A and EARTH 436B, Honours Thesis courses, with permission from the academic advisor and consent from the Faculty.
- Year Four EARTH electives allow students to focus their studies in areas of Geology, Geophysics, or Hydrogeology. Students should refer to course requirements for these specializations within Earth Sciences programs to guide their elective choices.
- Students interested in selecting courses to fulfil the knowledge based requirements for membership in the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) may need to substitute certain required courses. Substitution can only be done with approval from the academic advisor.
