Science and Business student Jessica Lawson receives Ontario University Athletics' Women of Influence award

Congratulations to Science and Business student Jessica Lawson on the winning of the Ontario University Athletics' Women of Influence award. The award honours female student-athletes who have excelled in their chosen sports, fields of study and community involvement. Lawson was honoured at a luncheon on Tuesday May 8, 2012 at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario.

Scholarship information - Research opportunities in Science and Business

Each year the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) awards a specific number of research grants to students at the University of Waterloo. These awards give undergraduate students the opportunity to spend a term doing research in one of uWaterloo's world-class laboratories.

The University of Waterloo requires that students maintain an 80% average to be eligible for this program. For more detailed information about NSERC research check out the NSERC web site.

Attention SciBus students

Students in the SciBus (Non-specialized) program should note that ONE of the FOUR "electives" taken in their fourth year should be a Science Elective in order to complete the Science lecture credits required to graduate. For further information please see the Undergraduate Calendar.

Update for Fall 2010 and Fall 2011 Science and Business entrants

Please make note of the following change to the course outline: SCBUS 225 has been moved from the Fall 3B term to the Winter 3A term. All students should enrol in SCBUS 225 in their 3A term and move one of their science electives to the 3B term. For Environmental Science and Hydrogeology specializations, SCBUS 225 should be swapped with ECON 371 which can then be taken in the 3B Term. Click on the links below to view the updated rubrics:
