# N: drive: Mapping your on-campus filespace

### File server information

All members, staff, and students in the Faculty of Science have an on-campus filespace called an N: drive. The N: drive is a mappable folder with 10GB of storage space. Instructions on how to map your N: drive for undergrads and staff/faculty/grads are below.

### Windows users:

• Install and connect to the Campus VPN
• Navigate to "File Explorer" and select "This PC" from the left menu.
• In the top left click "Map network drive."
• Select the drive letter from the drop-down menu (N is recommended for simplicity, however, any letter will work.)
• In the "Folder" box enter: \\fileS.uwaterloo.ca\students$\yourWatIAMusername • Check the box "Connect using different credentials" and "Reconnect at sign-in." • Click "Finish." • Enter your network credentials: • Username: yourWatIAMuserid@uwaterloo.ca • Password: yourWatIAM password • Optionally select "Remember my credentials" then click "OK."
