Co-op Challenge in Support of Science Students

We desperately need your help.

The current global economic downturn due to Covid-19 has greatly affected the ability of our co-op students to find employment for upcoming co-op terms.

But there is great news! This fall, there are huge financial government incentives available for employers. There has never been a better time to hire a UW science co op student. We have several smart and motivated science students who are available for hire for September.

Here’s where you come in.

We have some of the top talent available in the Faculty of Science, and right now, it's never been more affordable to hire our students. With unprecedented government funding support to hire students this fall, not only do you get top talent, but you also have an opportunity to have our students help feed your recruitment pipeline.

Sarah Cook - Co-Op Student

For her final two work terms, Sarah will be cataloguing a massive volume of specimens and slide collections for UW’s Department of Biology. Sarah’s concern for cataloguing the past is a valid one- no new collections are expected to appear any time soon. From funding cuts, to a lack of time and manpower to collect new specimens, it’s becoming more and more imperative that current stock is catalogued and made available to researchers.

Enter a co op student: she has the passion, drive and knowledge to get it done.
