About the speaker:
Dr. Joe MacInnis has led over 20 deep-sea expeditions in the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic oceans. From this unique vantage point, Joe will provide a rare glimpse into the devastating impacts of the oil spill.
Several science faculty members from the University of Waterloo will be participating in the Kitchener Public Library's Ideas and Issues Lecture Series.
Each week at 12 noon, a 50-minute lecture is presented by University of Waterloo faculty members, alternating with Wilfrid Laurier University professors. Pre-registration is not required to participate and there is no charge for participants.
