
Prof. Joseph Bondy-Denomy may have first become known for his discovery of anti-CRISPRs during his Ph.D work at the University of Toronto, but these days he’s proving himself to be nothing less than prolific as he runs his own research group at the University of California San Francisco. He’s since expanded into the entrepreneurial space as a co-founder of Acrigen Biosciences, translating his one-of-a-kind anti-CRISPR expertise into technological applications.

This session covers the basics of Intellectual Property (IP) protection with a focus on patents. You'll learn about the different types of IP protection available and some of the most common pitfalls to avoid. Hear how IP is used to commercialize technology through licensing or start-up creation.
