Jane's Walk - Rock Around Kitchener Export this event to calendar

Friday, May 6, 2016 — 12:00 PM EDT

Kitchener is a city with a rich history. Although it has only been recognized as a city since 1854, its roots may be traced back much further. Ancient rocks may be found in the buildings and surrounding landscape throughout this gorgeous city.

Join us on a tour through Kitchener's geological history, as displayed in it's buildings and other stonework. This is a rain or shine event, and we will meet in front of the Kitchener Public Library's Queen Street entrance.

The tour will be led by Peter Russell, Curator Emeritus of the University of Waterloo Earth Sciences Museum

Tours will begin at 12:00pm and 2:30pm and will each run for 1.5 hours.
