Thinking of applying to Science and BusinessBiotechnology/Chartered Professional Accountancy, or Biotechnology/Economics programs at the University of Waterloo? The best way to see how we do business, accounting, and economics differently here at Waterloo is to see what a day-in-the-life of a student looks like, first-hand.

Join us on campus for our November Shadow Day, exclusively for Science and Business, Biotechnology/Chartered Professional Accountancy, and Biotechnology/Economics — led by a team of current students, faculty, and staff who are excited to give you an inside look.

  • Connect with current students and ask them your questions
  • Attend sample lectures
  • Meet instructors who may, one day, teach your classes
  • Tour the campus, science facilities, and student spaces

At Waterloo, our business-related programs are intentionally embedded within individual Faculties versus a business faculty. This means you'll graduate as a business professional with an additional, specialized area of expertise. In Science, employers spoke and we listened by creating these one-of-a-kind Bachelor of Science programs. Find out more about how you can become one of our sought-after grads with a niche degree that employers value.

Note: Official schedule will be provided to those selected to attend.

Tip: The University's Fall Open House is a week prior on November 7th. If you're having trouble deciding if you should attend Fall Open House, Shadow Day, or both, keep in mind that Fall Open House is a broader event that covers all Faculties. There will be presentations on the business-related science programs at Fall Open House and you'll get to meet current students, but the Shadow Day will offer a more in-depth, program-specific look and you'll attend sample lectures and workshops.
