Snakes control blood flow to aid vision

A new study from the School of Optometry and Vision Science shows that snakes can optimize their vision by controlling the blood flow in their eyes when they perceive a threat.

Science alumnus wins Best Actor Award at Toronto Film Festival

Congratulations to Leonard Mario Zgrablić on being named Best Actor for his outstanding performance in the short film, The Lock, at the Canada International Micro Film Festival in Toronto recently. Leonard was presented the award by Ontario Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, the Honourable Michael Chan who took the opportunity to stress the importance of supporting Ontario film projects. 

Leonard also co‐stars in Manfred and the Waiting Room, another short film, which currently is making its rounds at festivals throughout the North America and Europe.
