Science student named one of Canada’s Next 36 top entrepreneurs

Mark Kryshtalskyj, a fourth-year University of Waterloo Science and Business student and founder of Rockstar Café, was selected this week by Next 36, Canada’s premier entrepreneurial leadership program.

Rockstar Café, a combination of sustainable coffee house and entrepreneurial meeting place, has been Kryshtalskyj’s dream since the summer of 2013.

Bob Lemieux named next Dean of Science

The Faculty of Science is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Bob Lemieux as the ninth Dean of Science at the University of Waterloo. His five-year term will begin on July 1, 2015.

Lemieux joins Waterloo from Queen’s University, where he is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and served as Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Arts and Science.
