They provide flu vaccines, counsel on quitting smoking, review medications with you, and so much more – the role is changing, and the School of Pharmacy is embracing these changes.

Waterloo biologist and First Nation examine mercury in fish

Kluane First Nation youth, using the latest sampling and analysis techniques in a Waterloo lab, are finding very low levels of mercury in fish in their northern community.

Lenita Alatini, a Kluane First Nations student, is grinding fish samples in a University of Waterloo lab.

Pharmacy student outreach initiative teaches children about smoking, handwashing and medication safety

March is Pharmacist Awareness Month (PAM) and that means that our students are out in the community, sharing their pharmacy knowledge in venues like Conestoga Mall and in Kitchener and Waterloo classrooms.

Roger Ayoub and Urooj Advani were two of the 33 volunteers who participated in PAM Outreach.
