In Canada, Alberta is looked on as the leading province for pharmacy practice. All Albertan pharmacists can order lab tests and initiate therapy for minor ailments, and those with additional authorization can prescribe independently for most prescription-requiring drugs. These are all services Ontario pharmacists can’t provide.

More than 900 Science graduates cross the stage at the 114th convocation ceremonies

The Faculty of Science held its 114th Convocation ceremonies yesterday to celebrate the achievements of two honorary degree recipients, four highly distinguished honorees and 920 graduating students. Among them, 837 Bachelor degrees, 50 Master degrees and 33 Doctoral degrees were conferred.

New pharmacy grad will explore global health

Heidi Fernandes was inspired after helping to establish medical clinics in an impoverished community in Peru.

Ever since she travelled to Brazil on vacation, pharmacy student Heidi Fernandes has had a passion for global health. After graduation, she’ll be putting that passion into action.
