Kevin Costello awarded John L. Synge Award from Royal Society of Canada

Nineteen eminent Canadian scientists, scholars and researchers have been recognized by the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) for their outstanding achievements in advancing knowledge and understanding of the past and present. Adjunct Professor Kevin Costello has been awarded the John L. Synge Award for his leading work in the mathematics underlying quantum field theory.

Celebrating a historic gift that expands access to low vision rehabilitation services in Waterloo region

The School of Optometry & Vision Science is renaming its Centre for Sight Enhancement to celebrate a $1.5 million gift from longtime supporters George (OD ’64, DSc ’19) and Judy Woo. This is the largest donation the School has received in its history.

Waterloo welcomes 2022 Schulich Leaders

This fall the University of Waterloo will welcome ten exceptional first-year students who were awarded a Schulich Leaders Scholarship, including Charlotte Brown. Brown will be joining the Faculty of Science in the Biotechnology/Chartered Professional Accountancy program.
