Waterloo Pharmacy PhD candidate Alanna McEneny-King awarded major government grant

School of Pharmacy PhD candidate Alanna McEneny-King received a 2017 doctoral Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS-D) from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). The $105,000 grant supports McEneny-King’s research developing mathematical models to improve dosing of people with hemophilia.

The Faculty of Science wins third University 3MT title

The Faculty of Science continues its winning streak at the University Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition yesterday. Emmanuel Alabi, a doctoral candidate from the School of Optometry and Vision Science, not only took home $1,000 for winning the University level competition but also captivated many hearts to earn the People’s Choice award.

The annual Faculty of Science Three Minute Thesis heat returned this week. More than twenty graduate students from all six units gathered to compete and describe their research in less than three minutes, using only one slide.
