Researchers at the University of Waterloo are at the forefront when it comes to water research.
With the interdisciplinary Water Institute (WI), faculty members can collaborate on their research efforts in areas such as water science, technology, management, and governance in support of healthy communities and ecosystems.
"We represent the face of water research on campus, and facilitate innovative research, education, and training,” says David Rudolph, WI’s inaugural director. “We have close to 120 members from across all six faculties and we’re still growing and expanding."
Rudolph believes the institute has great potential for the future.
WI gives our faculty members every opportunity to get involved in an interdisciplinary approach,” he says.
Water is an essential part of our lives, so the research we do is very relevant and valuable.
