Chagger works as the Special Projects Coordinator at the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre, an organization that assists new Canadians as they transition to full participation in our community’s life.
She is also actively involved in numerous community organizations as a board member or volunteer.
In 2012, she was recognized as one of The Record’s Top 40 Under 40 for her community leadership.

But Chagger wasn’t the only Waterloo Science alumn in this election.
Alumnus Mark Vercouteren (BMATH ’92, BSC ’94) earned a Physics and Math degree at the University of Waterloo. He ran for the seat in the Chatham-Kent--Leamington riding. This was the third election for Vercouteren but ultimately the seat went to Dave Van Kesteren.
