Stream of study: Co-op
Career goal: Currently I’d like to work as a hospital pharmacist, but we’ll see by the time I graduate.
Favourite food: Grandma’s apple pie!
How I get involved: Currently I’m the community relations chair for the UW Oncology Pharmacy Interest Group. I’ve also participated in intramurals, salsa club and karate club on campus, and helped with move in days. I make it a goal to attend as many events by other clubs as I can!
Why I love my program
Pharmacy is an amazing collection of individuals who have a passion for caring for other people. It makes for an awesome, tight-knit community of people who help each other succeed. I also love how the co-op program gives us an opportunity to gain experience and apply the knowledge that we’re learning. Plus, it helps that I love the class content!
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose the University of Waterloo because they have the only co-op pharmacy program in Canada. I did my undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Waterloo as well and loved the huge variety of extracurricular activities I could be part of as well as the opportunities for professional development.
